The villa takes open-plan design to a new level as it seamlessly blurs the lines between the indoor and outdoor world. Think lily ponds and orchid covered walkways, stone pillars, wood detailing, and doors and windows specifically designed to be folded back and out of the way to let the natural world in, and cedar roofs that subtly blend the pavilions of Baan Kilee in with its surroundings. Not only is it fitted with a long wooden table that can fit 16 people but comes with two accompanying swing beds perfect for aperitif or digestif or keeping the children happy as you dine, although they may prefer to disappear to the indoor movie room after they eat. The Master Suite with its high cathedral ceilings is on an upper floor, above the formal dining space, affording it with gorgeous views of Lipa Noi Bay and the Five Islands through the floor to ceiling glass doors which open out onto the Suite’s private terrace. The crowning aspect of Master Suite’s en-suite bathroom is a sunken terrazzo bath, and a stunning glass wall that separates the bathroom from the main bedroom. The Master Suite also features a separate air-conditioned room in an alcove for children or for use as a day spa massage room. Glass walls on two sides of the Beachside Suite keep this living space connected to the surrounding world as one wall looks to the pool and one to the sea. GREEN POLICY Baan Kilee , part of the Chai Talay Estate, has a strong ethos of sustainability and eco-consciousness and is a 'single-use plastic' free resort -- the villa will not provide single-use plastic bottles, bags, straws or cutlery and crockery. Guests are encouraged to bring their own refillable water bottles and be conscious of their environmental impact during their stay. If not possible, guests can purchase branded aluminium bottles at the villa. CTE x SISTERS ON SAMUI COMMUNITY GARDEN INITIATIVE Chai Talay Estate sponsors the Sisters on Samui Community Gardens Initiative - a project whereby families can grow and harvest their own fresh vegetables and fruits through the use of land banks donated to the local community. The initiative came into effect during the COVID-19 pandemic as thousands of local people suffered job losses, without furlough or severance. Minimum of 4 hours in advance booking is required) - In-villa spa treatment with extended menu EVENTS - Outdoor: 80 guests and up to 150 guests if booked together with neighboring villas; Cinema Room: 20 guests; Dining Area (fan only): Up to 70 guests - Minimum Nights: 3 nights (Intermediate & High), 5 nights (Peak), 7 nights (Christmas and New Year) - Event fees: USD 1,200 (subject to 7% tax) for up to 80 guests; USD 1,500 (subject to 7% tax) for up to 150 guests. - For smaller group events (under 25 people) using the villa’s own facilities and staff, a coordination fee of THB 10,000 is required. - An additional fee of THB 2,000 has to be provided to the Villa Manager, payable by the event organizer for the indirect support given (please note that this is not considered as a tip). - Where number of guests exceed 1.5 times of the occupancy of the villa, a security deposit of THB 100,000 will be collected. - Where number of guests is less than 1.5 times of the occupancy of the villa for small group events, a security deposit of THB 50,000 will be collected. - Higher security deposit of THB 300,000 will be collected should pool platforms are required for the event. - Security deposit is refundable provided no damage or deep cleaning at the villa is required. - Guest are required to have an event organizer when an event fee is charged. - Pre and post event day events are allowed and can be arranged by the staff for casual setting (up to 50 guests) with a separate fee of USD 300-600 + 7% tax. - For any events/ weddings with more than 80 guests, it may be required to book 2 villas in the Chai Talay Estate to use the beachfront lawn. - For any events/ weddings of more than 120, it may be required to book all 3 villas in the Chai Talay Estate subject to the style of the wedding. - Chai Talay weddings and event fee is reduced to 50% when 2 or more villas are booked for 5 nights. - Outdoor music curfew is until 12 midnight only. Parties may continue until 2am if held indoor in the breakfast room. - Kindly note that we are an advocate for the prevention of cruelty and ethical care of elephants and wildlife. We do not allow nor condone the hiring and use of elephants and/or other wildlife for any events held in the villa and in the immediate surrounding areas of the villa i.e. beach. - Fireworks are only allowed for weddings and a permit needs to be approved by local authorities at least 2 weeks before the event. - Sky Lanterns are also prohibited by the local government in Koh Samui.
