Go back to basics in nature at a beautiful estate in the French countryside. Enjoy 2 weeks of Yoga, working with herbs, mindful walks, and meditation. At Centre Lothlorien, yoga is "a way of life". This 14-day retreat helps you in finding peace and balance, so you can cope better with the stimuli and distractions of everyday life. Each week has its own theme. The activities are every monday to friday. Start with seize the day Asana's. The first week you will find herbs, identify them and find out what to do with them, learn about the Ayurvedic approach. The second week you find yourself on meditative walks in a woodland setting in an area where you can still walk for hours without seeing a soul. Stay in a quiet campsite or wooden log cabin in nature. Participate to the activities in the morning and have the afternoons and weekend free for yourself. Facilities are there to prepare your own meals. It is possible to book breakfast, lunch or dinner at the centre. Schedule Monday to Friday: 07:30 - 08:30 Seize the Morning Asana's 09:30 - 12:30 Retreat program, including Yoga workshops, meditation, group sessions and hikes Afternoon, time to be spent at will Evening, possible activities such as a tour, lecture or bonfire

Food

Meals are not included but can be added. Breakfast, lunch and 3-couse dinner are all vegetarian. We use organic products, often from our own vegetable garden.

Location

Centre Lothlorien is an international guesthouse and course center in the North-east of France at a center point of western Europe. It is situated in the rural areas of the Champagne-Ardenne region in a unique natural location surrounded by forests. The center itself lies in a valley and covers approximately 14 hectares with hills, forest, gardens, fields and lakes. This energetic and relaxing place is an ideal base to find peace and tranquility within yourself. Centre Lothlorien is a Dutch initiative. At the center vegetarian meals are being prepared.

Pinky More
Experience: 5+ years

Pinky More was born in India. Here she has completed an advanced teachers training Program at The Yoga Institute in Mumbai, the Oldest Organized Yoga Center in the World. After a few years of working and traveling over the world she has settled down in the Netherlands to introduce Indian Classic Yoga, the traditional style of Yoga. In Kerala, India, Pinky has studied Ayurvedic massage and Pancha Karma Therapy. In accordance with The World Yoga Organisation, Pinky is a certified Prenatal, Postnatal and Garbhsanskar Guide. Since 2012 Pinky organizes Yoga retreats at Centre Lothlorien in France. In 2019 she started the affiliation between Centre Lothlorien and ‘The Yoga Institute’. Currently, besides leading her own Teacher Training Courses in France she teaches in several other European countries and participates to Yoga programs in Dubai, Ghana and India.

Instructor

Richard Slager was born in the Netherlands. For years he has worked in the Hotel and Tourism Industry in different countries. In Kerala, India, Richard has studied the basis of Ayurveda and Herbology. Richard has completed the Yoga Teacher Training Course at The Yoga Institute in Mumbai. Now Richard teaches at The Yoga Teacher Training Course at Centre Lotlhorien, organizes courses in the practical use of local herbs and prepares oils and other herbal preparations.
